Mount Satima Hike (Advanced)

Trip Details

Depart Nairobi at around 4.30/5:00 AM and drive toward Mount Satima in the Aberdare Range. The journey takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in at the KWS (Kenya Wildlife Service) office for registration and park formalities before beginning the hike.

After the briefing, start the trek to Mount Satima, the highest peak in the Aberdares. The hike typically takes 6–8 hours round-trip, depending on pace and weather conditions. This trek is recommended for advanced hikers only, as it involves long distances, high altitude, and rugged terrain.

After reaching the summit area and enjoying the views, begin the descent back down the mountain to the starting point, where the vehicle will be waiting. Once everyone returns to the car, depart the Aberdares and drive back to Nairobi.

The trip includes pick-up and drop-off at a designated spot in Nairobi.
