Hell’s Gate & Lake Naivasha
Trip Details
Begin the day with a pick-up from your hotel or designated meeting point in Nairobi before setting off for Hell’s Gate National Park, one of the few national parks in Kenya where visitors can explore on foot or by bicycle.
Upon arrival, you will have the option to hire a bicycle (optional) and cycle through the park’s dramatic landscapes of towering cliffs, open plains, and volcanic formations, often spotting zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and a variety of birds along the way.
You will also hike through the scenic Ol Njorowa Gorge, a narrow canyon shaped by water and volcanic activity, and enjoy the chance to relax with a refreshing dip in the nearby natural springs.
After exploring the park, continue to Lake Naivasha for a peaceful boat ride across the lake. As you glide over the water, keep an eye out for hippos resting in the shallows and the many bird species that inhabit the area.
The boat will take you to Crescent Island, where you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the island. Here you can stroll among freely roaming wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, experiencing an up-close encounter with animals in their natural environment.
At the end of the day’s adventure, return to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the designated drop-off point.
