Nairobi National Park, Elephant Orphanage & Giraffe Centre
Trip Details
Begin the day with a pick-up from your hotel or a designated meeting point in Nairobi before heading to Nairobi National Park for an exciting morning game drive. Despite being just outside the city, the park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and many species of birds, offering a unique safari experience with the Nairobi skyline in the background.
After the game drive, continue to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant orphanage, where you will enjoy a guided visit and learn about the incredible conservation work being done to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned elephants before they are returned to the wild.
Next, visit the Kazuri Beads Factory, where you can see how the famous handmade ceramic beads are crafted and learn about the project that supports local women artisans. After the visit, stop for lunch before continuing to the Giraffe Centre, where you will have the chance to see and interact with the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes.
At the end of the day, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the designated drop-off point in Nairobi, concluding a full day of wildlife, culture, and conservation experiences.
